Titanal sheet 1850 x 310 x 0,4 mm.
Titanal T6 from AMAG.
Titanal is anodized with phosphoric acid.
Used for damping of vibrations and increased flexural and torsional stiffness.
Should be cleaned up before lamination using Aceton, then let it dry well.
The manufacturer AMAG recommends: Do not clean with acetone, clean if necessary by grinding. ???
However, by grinding, the titanal oxidizes on the surface within a few minutes. This oxide layer then prevents good adhesion.
If only sanding just before gluing.
Experience:
The Titanal makes the ski possibly temperature-sensitive.
If, for example, it is the top layer on the ski, the pretension can change extremely, at different temperatures.
Therefore the Titanal with rather close to the core, possibly between two fiber layers or two layers of titanal. One above the core and one below the core.
Only make bending tests when the resin has reached the final hardness. See product description for resins.
